Finally have some space to work in

Well the craft room is still a work in progress but I now have room to do a bit of stamping again and, motivated by Freshly Made Sketches 152 and my new Stampin Up goodies, I felt my long lost mojo tugging at me.  At last!

Kim Singdahlsen has joined the Clean Team as a regular, I do love her cards, and the one she has up for inspiration this challenge got me thinking, which of course led to some inking.....and this was the result.

I used Wisteria Wonder and Vanilla card stocks with Wisteria Wonder and Hello Honey inks (a lot of sponging going on there) along with the Kinda Eclectic stamp set.  It's hard to see in the photo but the tiniest pearl size in the Stampin Up packet is perfect to dot the i in kindness.

I got a little carried away with the sponging so I'm not sure this will be "clean" enough but the most important thing for me is I'm back at my desk and stamping again....and I've missed it!

Photography is getting a little better, thank you to everyone who posted and emailed me so many helpful tips.  I know I should have waited for daylight (it looks a little more "delicate" in daylight) but I'll miss the cut off on the challenge by the time I get in from work tomorrow.  Daylight light bulbs are going on the shopping list.

A "Craft Room" Exposed! My shocking before pictures

I am feeling very honoured to have the lovely Darnell comment on my blog, follow me and then introduce me in her post today!!  After a pretty awful day at work I have huge crafty smiles!! :)

Thank you to everyone who has stopped by and I have a crafty weekend planned so I will have a bit more to blog about when Sunday gets here. However, I have a confession to make about the appalling state of the room I decided would be my craft room when I moved in to my new flat (that's a vague use of the word new - it was nearly 2 years ago).

So, I have decided to confess up and expose my "craft room" in it's current terrible state. I've hardly crafted in the 2 years I have lived here and it shows................but that is about to change :)  By the end of August I will be a sparkling example of organised crafting (or close anyway), I have lots of plans and solutions pinned on my pinterest so I have no excuse.

So here is my shame.....to the left

and to the right....that looks a teeny bit organised in a photo

And this is currently a built in wardrobe, and as I rent I am stuck with it, - but I have plans that I feel really motivated to achieve now......

And the rest of the "stash"......I blame the bike to be honest for giving me a cycling and triathlon addiction that distracts me from crafting.  Yep I'm definitely blaming the bike!!

So my confession is done and the truly awful state of my crafting exposed!  I do feel motivated to sort it though and post some pics of a vast improvement on 31st August :)

First post and first challenge entry

I've finally summoned up enough courage to enter a challenge and do my first blog post!  I did promise Joy I would post whilst she's on holiday - thank you for patiently following a blank blog for the last few weeks Joy.

I decided the Clear it out Challenge Blog would be a good starting point as I have so much unused stuff (but don't we all).  They have a sketch challenge up this week and I had an unused HOTP cardmakers kit from a few years ago that, although I loved the papers, the whole card project in the newsletter was just a bit too overwhelming for me.

I pulled out the sun and shades brads and cut a piece out of one of the papers. The sentiment stamp is from Great Impressions - another stamp needing it's first use.  The orange strips are DCWV self adhesive brights stack, also very old and getting it's first use.

I obviously need to work on my photography skills!  But this is the best I can do for now hopefully I'll improve with practice.
